Raphael Diaz - Paralegal

Raphael is a paralegal with a growing interest in employment law and civil litigation. Working closely with Bassili Law’s lawyers, Raphael assists with legal research, drafting court materials, reviewing and analyzing documents, and preparing litigation files. Raphael also regularly communicates with clients and assists with client intake, recognizing that behind every legal matter is someone looking for guidance during what can often be a difficult or uncertain time.

Raphael is nearing completion of a Bachelor of Arts degree at MacEwan University, majoring in Economics with minors in Political Science and Business Law. As a member of the MacEwan Law Club, Raphael continues to explore his interest in the legal profession, with aspirations of attending law school and becoming a lawyer. Drawn to law by a desire to help others and a strong sense of justice, Raphael enjoys the problem-solving and analytical aspects of legal work, along with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Outside of the office and university, Raphael has spent four years volunteering as a basketball coach for high school students. For Raphael, coaching has always been about more than basketball. The most rewarding part has been watching young athletes grow in confidence, develop as individuals, and learn lessons that extend beyond the court.
